Website redesign

Make your existing website work harder for your business.

A redesign can improve an outdated website's clarity, mobile experience, and path to inquiry. I start by reviewing the content, pages, and functionality you already depend on.

When a redesign makes sense

A site can still load and yet make it difficult for customers to take the next step. Services may be hard to find, a phone menu may be awkward, or a contact form may ask too much before someone is ready to talk.

If the underlying website is sound, focused improvements may be enough. If the design and structure no longer fit the business, a fuller redesign gives us room to rethink the pages and customer journey. Share your current address so we can discuss the right scope.

Start with what is already working

  • Content and pages: identify service descriptions, articles, and useful information worth carrying forward.
  • Existing search traffic: when you provide Search Console or analytics data, use it to understand which pages already attract visitors.
  • Essential features: record forms, booking links, integrations, and other functions that must continue working.
  • Brand and proof: keep accurate business information and real project examples visible in the new design.

Protect important URLs during the move

Changing a page's address can break old links and interrupt the path from a search result to your site. I aim to preserve useful URLs. When a page genuinely needs a new address, the project should include a redirect to the closest relevant replacement.

The launch review covers canonical URLs, internal links, headings, indexability, and sitemap entries. These checks reduce avoidable migration problems; they cannot guarantee that rankings will remain unchanged when a site's content and structure change. See Google's site move guidance for how search engines process URL changes.

Improve the path from landing page to lead

Good redesign decisions connect appearance with a customer task. For a service business, that may mean clearer service pages, visible coverage areas, readable pricing guidance, and a shorter inquiry form. For a church, it may mean helping a first-time visitor find service times and directions.

We agree on the main action for each page before adding visual detail. Read more about turning website visits into inquiries and responsive web design.

Scope, pricing, and next steps

Website packages begin at $1,500. The right redesign scope depends on the number of pages, content migration, and features that need to carry over. Custom applications and integrations require a separate estimate; a new look alone does not describe the whole project.
